Forget-Me-Not-Ferrets – Alexandria, Mo & Quincy, Il – exist to provide a warm, safe, and loving home for unwanted, abused and neglected ferrets regardless of age, health status, or temperament.
We also try to provide assistance with food, bedding and supplies to needy ferret parents to keep ferrets in a loving home when possible. We believe it is also important to provide education and support for ferret families struggling with lack of knowledge but willing to learn.
Bette’s location generally works most with the nurturing of sick/ill shelter ferrets regularly and may be available if Daphne Reddy is working to help with immediate ferret-related needs. If immediate transport of ferrets is needed please contact both Daphne and Bette as Daphne’s 2 jobs may hinder her ability to assist immediately.
Bette’s location handles many special needs ferrets, often needing long term specialized care and round the clock attention. Once a ferret is moved to the Alexandria, MO shelter they are a permanent shelter addition living their lives out being cared for and pampered as long as possible. The Quincy, IL location is the main intake location where ferrets are quarantined prior to evaluation. After quarantine ferrets are evaluated to see if they are good candidates for adoption or if they will become permanent shelter residents. Adoptions are handled by Daphne on a by-appointment basis only. If you would like a copy of our adoption application and adoption contract, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 217-779-4067.
