Enfield Animal Control is a division within the Enfield Police Department. There are currently three animal control officers assigned to it - ACO D. Yoho, ACO E. Boucher, and ACO T. Casale. The ACO office can be reached by telephone at 860-763-8944 and individual officers can be reached via email available in the directory on our home page.
Enfield Animal Control Officers are available Monday – Friday 8:00 am through 8:00pm and 8:00 am through 4:00pm on Saturday and Sunday, However we will respond to emergencies as needed after normal working hours.
The Animal Control Officers are responsible for the enforcement of the Connecticut State Laws and Enfield town ordinances pertaining to domestic and wild animals (please view our policy regarding the handling of all Wild life and Nuisance animals. We respond to complaints of violations of Animal Control laws by telephone or police dispatch.
All animals that are taken into custody are impounded at the Enfield Animal Shelter on Parsons Road. Impounded animals are cared for at the shelter by the officers and treated by licensed veterinarians when needed.
